What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Comments & Reviews

When visitors leave comments and/ or reviews on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.


If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell or pass on your data to any other parties other than those we state here. Data is collected and passed on to “” through the use of applications using the API link to enable us to process your order efficiently and from there it is passed to “” so that your order can be processed and shipped. Payment data is taken securely by “Stripe”, “Blockonomics” or “Electroneum”. All parties use encrypted channels in order to maximise the safety of client data.

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. Any emails will be sent through to Protonmail and their encrypted mail server. Client emails will be deleted after 6 months to ensure time is allowed for all issues to be resolved or if requested they can be removed before.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Data sent through email can will be deleted after 6 months or earlier if requested by the customer.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your contact information

Your contact information will be kept for a reasonable period of time until the order has been deemed completed. If you choose to open an account with Charmio then it will be kept until the account is deleted. As soon as the account is deleted the data will be removed as well, we do not hold on to data after accounts have been deleted. You can request for your information to be deleted immediately after an order if you like.

How we protect your data

Your payment data is sent and encrypted to Stripe, Electroneum or blockonomics and handled through their servers. Other personal account data that you have provided directly to the site will be stored through WooCommerce. Any emails that are sent to is sent to an encrypted server based in Switzerland (Protonmail) and is arguably the safest email service available.

What data breach procedures we have in place

In case of a data breach all parties involved would be informed as the situation arises, they would be informed of the information taken. The source of the breach would be closed down as quickly as possible. We do not store more information that is needed in order to minimise possible data breaches. We don’t believe in building profiles of our customers so we will not store excessive amounts of data.
